LAND SALE.
No Sales Made Wednesday was evidently not a "selling day" in Pukekohe, as none of the properties offered by Messrs Vaile and tlons found a purchaser. MRS RANKIN'S PROPERTY.
On Mru Rankin's property in King street there was a very small attendance at the hour stipulated for the sale, and only two bids were forthcoming. An offer of £BOO was after some trouble drawn by the auctioneer, and later a £SO advance. As this was considcrally under the reserve the property was passed in. MR WILKINSON'S PROPERTY. At 2 p.m. the 30 acres situated on the Pukekohe hill, belonging to Mr A. E. Wilkinson, were offered For the corner block of 7ac. 3ro. 5.3p0. a start was made bv Mr R. Bilkey at £SO per acre. The bidding quickly ran up to an offer of £IOO from Mr R. T. Wright, but aH this was under the reserve the block was passed in. A trial was made to sell the block in sections, but the bids were not so good as those made for the block intact. For the 22' i acres adjoining thu homestead, with two road frontages, an offer from Mr R. Wilkinson of £75 an acre was al3o passed.
