WEDDING.
Brown—Booth.
Our Onewhero correspondent writes :
A very popular wedding was solemnised here on Wednesday, 24th inst., when Miss L. Booth, of Onewhero, became the bride of Mr James B. Brown, of the staff of the New Zealand Dairy Association's butter factory at Pukekohe. The weather was not pleasant, but this did not prevent the friends of the bride from turning out en masse.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dobson in the church, which had been suitably and fully decorated for the The bride, who was given away by her mother, and attended by Miss Glasgow as bridaemaid, looked very dignified and pretty in a blue-grey costume and hat to match.
The young couple are both well and favourably known in this district, where Miss Booth has live with her parents for the last years, and been actively associated with the Sunday School as a teacher and with the Anglican and Presbyterian churches as organist, for some time.
After the marriage service and the usual congratulations, the Rev. Dobson presented a handsome tea service to the bride on behalf of the various churches and her many friends as a token of the goodwill and esteem in which Bhe was held by all who knew her.
