The poultry market slightly firmer for gord bird*. Pigs are steady. Choice dessert apples are in good demand. Butter, iggs and cheese at about last week's rates. Pumpkins, and heal potatoes are s! w uf s*le; in fa.t the AuckLni market is glutted end prices are low.
Hens: Prime Is 9d to 2s Id, good Is 5d to Is 7J. Roosters: Prime 3s 3d to 4s 3d; gonl 2s !)d to 3s, cockereli Is Id tr> Is 9d. Ducks 2s to 2s lOd, gcesc 3a Gd lo 4s Cd. Turkeys: Gobblers 83 to hens 4s to 6s 21. Pigs 5s 6d to 16s Gd.
Southern potatoes: £5 to £5 Dip, local £2 ti £3. Onions £6 to £7, pickhrs 6s to 7s 6d cwt. Pumpkins £2 10s to £3 10, swedes £1 10», pie and citron melons £2 10s.
Maize 4s 3d to 4s Grl. Wheat 4s Bd. Uats, 2s Dd. Bran £4 Ids. Sharps £7 10s. Chaff £5 to £5 10a. Barley 3s to 3s 3d.
