The annus! meeting of the Mauku football club was held in the Mauku hot.l on the 16th inst , a very encouraging numbei of members and others being present.

Mr J. B. Goldnvorthy was elected to tha chair. Mr T. H. Bailey was £l:ctid patrin to the club, ard Mr W. G. Pleydell president. Mr W. The lirst match of the sr-aaon was played on Saturday, May 1 <3l hj, I'ukekohe meeting St John s, one of the strongest teams in Auckland. The weather was against good football, rain falling throughout the match, but Pukekohe fought hard ai d contested every inch of the ground, having hard luck in only scoring one goal I. Latti). I'ukekohe had rather a weak team, but hope to do better on Saturday when they meet North Shote on tne Parade Ground, at I'likekohp.
