HARRISVILLE.

SCHOOL CONCERT. A most successful school concert was held in the Tuakau Hall on Friday last, Mr W. Glasgow, the newly elected chairman of committee, presiding. The concert was arranged in order provide funds to procure ganres for the children, basket ball for girls and cricket for boys, oreat credit is due to Miss Whititg for the manner in which she taught the children. The hall wa- well filled and the concert waa a decided financial success. The following programme was given by the children:— Overtuic, Miss Fiieda Dickens; "Golden Boat Song," girls and boys; recitation. Miss Laura Leaman; action song, "'Where Are You Going to, My Pretty Maid?" Miss Winsome Mnncur and Master W. Long; "Sleigh Song.," little ones; recitation, Master George Strickett; girls' march; recitation, MrGribble; action sung, "Jenny Wren and Cock Bobm' 1 ; recitation, "Miss Milligan's Girls"; physical drill, boys; recitation, Miss Annie Long; sword dance, Miss Winsome Moncur; nigger song, soloist Miss Laura Leaman; short operetta, "Hour in Fai'yland."' Mr Gribble. from Auckland, also recited in intervals between the pets while the children were preparing for next items. Mr Gribble, who wbb a very good elocutionist, was re-called several times.
