PIGEON SHOOTING.
Tbe pigeon shooting matches on Saturday, under the auspices of the Pukekohe Gun Club, were again successful. J. Wright hsd a day out, winning the Mclntyre trophy and two sweepstakes out of three. The trophy was a ten-bird event, J. Wright getting first place wi>' 8 birds, fff 15 yards. A. Vujn .on 14, 7 birds; J. Reynolds '<, R. McGough 13, 6 each; fi .. Daysh 14, J. Blake and J. V. Privac 12, J. Fausett 16, 5 e .a; S. Fitness 21, 4. The first six jird ev.nt was again won by Wrigh with 5 first-barrel birds, A. Vuju< ich, 5, being second. S. Fitness 4, J Blake and Daysh 7, J. Reynolds .nd Privac 2, K. McGough 1. 'n this "shoot" Vujucich was "eally first ar.d Wright secor.d, buv they agreed to "shoot off" to see Oo would take all the proceeds am. Wright won. There were 10 competuois for tfce second six-bird sweepstakes, which J. Wright won with 5 firat-barrel birds. S. Fitness 5 was second and D. R. Reynolds third. Four competitors took part in the final six bird event, which J. Fausett won with 5 birds.
Nominations for the Lady's Bracelet close on Wednesday evenin?, at 5 o'clock. A general mEeting of members of the Gun Club is to be held at the Pukekohe Hotel on Wednesday night, when the subject of holding an open handicap shoot will be dibCUSHfd. __
