SHOOTING SEASON. The shooting season opened witb the usual fusillade, but no very large bags are reported. Messrs Fro3ts' party securea 49 ducks, Mr E. T. Frost bagging the limit allowed early in the morning. Messrs Pirnt and Grant got 18 and other bags varied from one up to a dozen. The bad weather on Saturday hampered those who were brave enough to face the gale. THE MOTOR SERVICE. The new motor service inaugurated by Mr George Lapwood is proving a boon to those who would otherwise have to tramp the bad roads un dark nights. The motor runs rain or shine.
