Annual Meeting of Parishioners.
The annual meeting of parishioners was hs Id in the Oddrtllows'Hall on Wednesday evening. There was a good representative gathering, and after the business there was muaic and refreshments.
The report and balance • sheet ■honed that (he church attendance and finances were in a healthy condition, and that besides the irdinary maintenances, stipend fund and current expenses the following works had been undertuken and paid for during th 9 year:—Missionary work £36, Communion vessels £9, infant class room £3l, further instalment on the vicaragu fund £100; at Buckland, an Esty organ £45, acetylene gas £35; and at Tuakau, acetylene gas £3O. The following officers were appointed:—Vicar's Waiden, Mr R. Bilkey; Peoples Warden, Mr F. Brown; Vestry, Messrs Bockett, H. Cutd, W. H. Fausett, G. Hovey, H. G. R. Mason, S. J. Morris, J. Kussell. A. W. Willis and Woollett. Members of the Central Vestry, Messrs K. Bilkey, W. H. Fausett, H. G. R. Mason and S. J. Morris.
The motion proposed by Dr Wake, and seconded by Mr J. B, Brown-, urging the Government to take a aeferecdiim of the people ot the Dominion upon the question of the Bible in Schools, was carried unanimously. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded to all church worker*.
Further arrangements were made in connection with the Sale of Work which is being held in the Odd* fellows hall on May 15th and JfUh.
