PAPAKURA.
LAWN TENNIS. The Lawn Tennis Association championships were brought to a doss last Saturday on the local lawns. A great deal of interest has been taken in the matches and reveral keen contest* took place. Mr E. D. McLennan, president, presented the trophies t'j the following successful players:— Ladies' singleß—Miss Plant. Ladies' doubles—Miss Plant and ! Miss Muir. Men's singles —Mr W. M. Jones. Combined doubles -Mi s Waters | ana Mr W. M. Jones. Men's doubles—Mr Bennett and Mr O'Hara. SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC. The annual picnic in connection with the Presbyterian Sunday School was held on Easter Monday, in Mr I£. D. MeLennan's paddock. Mr Bickerton, the tuperintenJent, had charge of all the arrangements and was ably assisted by a number of willing helpers. Many friends were present during the afternoon and a very enjoyable day was spent by the young folks.
