POST OFFICE. The work of arrarging for ihe entertainment of the Ministerial party on Wednesday next is well in hand. A strong committee of about 50 ladic i and gentlemen are workirg enthusiastically to make the function memorable in the annals of Tuakau. It Is perhaps not generally known (hat the post office is now "* n continuously from L» a.m. tu 6 p m.; this in response to strong recommendations made by the Progressive League. It M also to bo noted that the request for a "tie up rail" for nurses has .ilso been complied with. PROPOSED TOWN BOARD. The secretary of the Progressive League has received word from the League's solictors, Messrs E Mahony and Sin, tt.at some objection has been lodged by Mr C. Dromgool. A commission will sit shortly to givo Mr Dromgool an opportunity of stntiig his case.
