Iha Vjuku brai ch of the Faimera' Union are holding their annual sports and picnic in Mr Nobbs' paddock on March 7th Some vfcluabld tiophies have been secured ss priz?s and the programme consis's of horss and foot events, ladies' and children's competitions and many novel displays. It standa to the credit of the brsnch that all prizes have been bought or given voluntarily, the usual round cf carvassing having been omitted this year. Hot water will be providpd on the ground, so that pcnic parties will be alright on that score. It is the w i h of (he committee that all parties nuke cne hrte spread at 4 p.m. for afternoon tea. The first rice starts at 1 p.m , ro that visitors should roll up in timp. Free entry to the ground and no collection.
