ARARIMU.
THE SPORTS CLUB. The Ararimu sports committee held their final meeting in the schoolroom on Wednesday evening, 14th inst. The business of the meeting was to review expenditure and takings resulting from the recent picnic and sports, held in the district on New Year's Day. A very satisfactory balance was on hand. This amount will probably be placed aside to act as a foundation for next annual spor's and picnic.
Mr Shuker occupied tho chair and carried out his duties in a most satisfactory manner. It was pleasing to note that although the majority of members had to come from a considerabledistance a very fair muster was made.
Special thanks are due to Mr S. Nobbs, who made the evening pass pleasantly by the distribution of the good things provided. In conclusion, a hearty vote of thanks was tendered the chairman and Mr Nobbs for the very kindly interest they bad displayed since the inauguration of the club.
