BOMBAY.

FARMERS' UNION. The annual mating of the Bombay branch of the Krmers' Union was held in the Bombay Hall on Saturday evening, December 20th, when the following officers were elected: President, Mr W. H. Thomas; vicepresident, Mr A. Jbreach; treasurer, Mr J. McNair Wallace; secretary, Mr L. Webster; executive committee, Messrs H. Sawyer, W. Flay, F. Lowry, H. J. Flay, H. Lsndon, A. Lowrie, W. H. P. Evans, P. Wyatt. Expressions of regret were made by the president at the loss of Mr P. Graham from the branch, he having sold bis farm in the district. The second annual smoke concert in connection with the Bombay branch of the Farmers' Union was held in the hall on Saturday evening. December 20th, when there nete about 50 members and visitors from the surrounding districts present. The president, Mr Thomas, presided. The following toasts were given : "The King," proposed by the president; "Parliament," by Mr H. J. Flay, Mr Morgon responding; "Farmers' Union," by Mr W. Evans, senr., responded to by Mr H. Sawyer; "Local Bodies," by Mr A. French, responded to by Mr M. Markham; "Press," by Mr Beadle, responded to by Mr Webster; "Agriculture," by Mr Thomas, responded to by Mr Markham; "Special Constables," Mr F. Lowry, responded to by Mr Thomas; "Seamen, Firemen and Farmers' Union," Mr Thomas, responded to by Mr Bradley. The following contributed songs during the evening: Messrs Morgon, W. Evans, senr., Nobbs, A. Wiay, Beadle, Markham, H. Barker, J. Fahey, H. Wilson, and Bradley.
