MAUKU ATHLETIC CLUB.
The Mauku Athletic Club are holding their 33id annual meeting at Patumahoe on New Year's Day and good sport u promised. The entries so far are well up to previous years, and the fields are aH good. A bsnd will be in attendance, and their services have been engaged for the social that will take placa in the evening. Plenty of side shows are also promised, such as shooting gallery, skittle alley, etc., not forgetting that most important feature, a refreshment stall. The secretary, Mr W. Finlay, is confident that given a fine aay a record attendance may be expected. Picnic parties are reminded that hot water is provided free and that cool, shady spots surround the grounds, and that admission is only one shilling. HANDICAPS.
