PIGEON SHOOTING.
The Huntly Carnival
Pukekohe Team Does Well.
The Pukekohe representatives at the Huotly shooting carnival on Saturday acquitted themselves well. They had to travel the distance by the early morning goods train, which necessitated rising about three o'clock, so that they suffered a handicap. Those who went down were Messra WilsoD, McNally, Mouldey (15 yardd) and Fausett (12 yards). In the £2O shoot Wilson (Pukekohe) and Wheeler (Te Awamutu) tied for first place with 20 birds and decided to divide the first and second money, totalling £lB. McNally (Pukekohe) and four others tied for third place with 19 bird?, and after a shoot-off McNally and Wynyard (Taumaranui) divided the third prize money, £2. Fausett was second in the trophy match and also in the three-bird sweepstakes.
