TUAKAU.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. Large congregations assembled to attend the Presbyterian Church Sunday School anniversary services last Sunday. At the evening service particularly it was' necessary to provide extra seating accomodation. The services were conducted ai follows Morning, Mr Allan; afternoon, Mr Williams ; and evening, Rev. W. Butterworth.
The manner in which the decorations of the church wore completed ffas the subject of much favourable comment. The arrangement of flowers and groeuery lias never been more tastefully carried out. Special music was provided by an Auckland quartette (Miss Hall, Mrs Thomson, Messrs Williams and Ilall). Two soloists (Messrs Hall and Wiliiauis) have attended nine successive anniversaries at Tutkau.
The social arrange 1 for Monday evening, as a suitable way of concluding the anniversary services, was largely attonded. Refreshments were provided and a lengthy musical and elocutionary programme rendered. PROPERTY CHANGES.
Mr P. A. Rowe has just purchased a valuable town section with 60ft frontage to George street. The previous owners, Messrs Green and Colebrook, sold on account of this section being separated from their main block.
