A sale of work is to be helJ in the Pufclic hall here on Wedresdav, December 3rd. Ths promoters have been working ha'd for a long t:me, and from all accounts the vari us stalls will bs laden with beautiful and useful articlrs. At tha conclusion of the sale a dance is to be held. LAWN TENNIS. A match between teams representing the married and single members of the club was played tn Saturday afternoon and af er an interesting contest resulted in a draw, each side seeming three sots. On Saturday, November 2!) th, a match, suppliers v. non-supplier* (cream v. skim milk) involving all the members of the club will be played, and this is awakening much interest as the teams are evenly divided and a keen competition is anticipated. A match with the Papakuia Club is to be played on December 20 th.
