It is estimated that it costs about 133 per month to keep a cow. Th:> operations of
the Stiatford and Midhurst Tcstirg Associations also enow interesting returns. The best Stratford herd averaged 37.1891b butter-fat and the worst 19.5510, while the average of the cows produced 27.251b. The best cow gave 53.821b, and the wcrat 9.12ib. The 10 highest cows averaged 42.811b, and the lowest 10 14.331b. The highest quantity of milk, given by one cow was 12.751b, whici) at a test of 3.3 produced 42.071b of butter-fat, while the '
lowest quantity from cna cow was 2.851b, testing 3.2, which produced
8.121b. Tee Midhurst period ended September 15 h. The best herd averaged 45.31b, and the worst 16.631b of butter-fat. The b:sicow gave 59.671b, and the worst gave only 5.41b, while the average was
25.671b. The 10 highc.t cowa gave 45.61b, and the lowest 12.4h>. The highest quantity of mil!j given by one cow wa3 16.201b, vviiieh at a test of 3.6 produced 58.3z1b. Ihe lowest quantity given by cne cow wa3 J.351b, test/rg 4.0, and producing 5.41b of butter-fat.
