MERCER.
COURT. Mr F. V. FraEer, S.M., presided at the Court on Monday. Judgment was niven by default in the case cf the United Timber Co. v. George Walker, claim £l7 5j 7d, costs £1 Bs. In the judgment summons cass Valeutine and Co. v. F. S. McCarthy, claim £l9 Cs 4d, debtor sgreed to pay £l7 15s 10c, including costs, in monthly payments of 30s. Valentine and Co. v, J. A. Dorricott was another judgment case, the amount involved being £3 18s 6d Plaintiff intimated that defendant had expreised his willingness to pay 10s ner week and judgment wss entered accordingly. David Kartin, of T&niwha, and George McCauley, of Ohinewai, sued Hugh Mason, of Waeranga, for £156 2s 3d for store", less allowances for cash credits, heifer, calves, cow, labour done on farms, etc, totalling £74 14% the Let claim being £Bl 8s 3d. Mr H. G R. Mason, of Pukekohe. appeared f.r the plaintiffs. Hugh Masor, n another care, sued George McCauley and David Martin for.£s7 4s 6d, beta; for various ki'ds of work dore en the farm and including £ls for two cows converted to defendants' use. After a somewhat lengthy hearirg an agreement was arrived at as to the total of the allowance made to Mason in the claim against him, ard which constituted the tasis of his tction Egainst McCauley and Mattin. The balance still owing to McCauley and Martin was found tu be £BO 16s, and judgment was entered far that amount with £2 5s Court costs, £4 lis lOd witnesses expenses, £5 2s solicitor's fee.
