WAIUKU.
FOOTBALL. Waiuku and Otaua met on Saturday last, the former team proving victorious, and thus winning the championship. W. Howe and C. fiarriball each crossed Otaua'a line, both tries being converted by D. Sands. Waiuku thu3 win by 10 points to nil. Mr L. Barriball'gave every satisfaction as referee. VETERINARY SOCIEIY. The first geiier«i meeting of the Waiuku Veterinary Society, incorporated, is to be held in the Parish Hall, Waiuku, oi August 15th. The main business is to receive the report of the committee re the formation of the Society and the engagement of the "vet.," and to elect officer.} for the ensuing year.
