DEATH.

Mr William Macpherson passed away at the residence of his sister (Mrs Clarke), at Eltham, after a long and very painful illness, borne with christian fortitude. Mr Macph.rson resided in this district for many years, and was beloved by all. SICKNESS. Mr Jack Hill's many friends will learn with much regret that it has been deemed advisable to send him to a hospital, owing to his lcng and serious iilness. BIG RUSH FOR LAND. Owing to the fact that this district will shortly be an impurtant one, on account of the vast and ever-increasing volume of trade (inwards and outwards}, fancy prices are being paid for Sections of land especially in close proximity to the station.
