The Rugby Game
The Rugby matches on Saturday afternoon proved cf little interest lo spectators. The game Suburbs v. Mauku was won by Suburbs by 12 points to nil. City, who took the field against Kill, had a very weak team, and were defeated bv 16 points to nil. A meeting of the Pukekche Rugby Union was held on Saturday night. Mr Pollock was in the chai\ Mcst of the business done was confined to a discussion re the proposed trip of a representative team at the end of the season. The matter was hj: Id over to albw the secretary to draw up a balance sheet, setting out the financial position of t':e Union. It was decided ta pay all accidant expenses to playen who fcave received injuries during the season, out of the fundi of the Union. Un the recreation ground next Saturday (if possible) a game, Married Veterans v. Single Veterans, will bs played, Married Veterans will ba picked from:—R. Pilkin?ton, W. Abbott, D, Jnmieson, R. Blake, C. McGnugb, G. Blake, C. Ledge, L. Bayly, J. McCormick, C. Lauer, J. Reynolds, J. Pollock, R. Fulton, B. Andrew, M. Wright, R. Miller and Watson.
