CiiEAMFRY SOCIAL

The over-popular creamery social was held on Thursday evening, 19th inst. There was q bit; attendance, about 50 couples. Messrs W. Deed and J. Leggett were the principal musicians. Supper was provided by the Hall Committee. During the cvfning two pvesenUtiji.s were made. On behalf of the suppliers, Mr H. Jolly presented to Mr H. Adams, the creamery manager, a purse of sovereigns in appreciation of lis good work. The second recipient of a golden purse was Mr J. Leggett, who has provided many evenings of dar.ee music for the people of Aka Aka. Mr W. Louden made this presentation on behalf of the subscribers. Mr Leggett has bought a farm down Huntly way and is leaving thi* district.
