PIGEON SHOOTING.
A Record Contest.
The attendance of eighteen shooters al Saturday's contest sugesta that the coming big shoot is creating still keener enthusiasm amongst the Pukekohe Gun Club members. Mr Hewson's trophy was shot for—a ten-bird match F. Mouldey, 15 yards, won with 9 birds, and L. Mouldey, 12 yards, was second with 8 birds. Other kills were:-J. Reynolds, L. Eyre and J. Wright, 7 birds each; J. Fausett, J. W. A. Preece, W. Wilson, A. P. Daysh, .1. Kennelly and R, Erlandson, 6 birds each; Vujucieh and .Gardner b birdi each; J. Blake and H. Barber, 4 birds each; K. Fitness 3, K. McGough 2, W. Pierce 0. Tbu six-bird sweepstake was won by Gardner, 14 yards, 5 birds, with Daysh, 12 yards, 4 birds, second. Gardner also won the fivt-bird swespstakes with five kills, J. Wright being second with 4 birds.
