Mr W. B. Davy, who won Mrs D. Roulton'd presentation bat for the best average in Pukekolie Club for the cricket season, 1912, ha 3 been palying for Carisbrook, a senior eleven in Dujedin. This was also a one innings game, Davy being thid highest scorer with 34, ST. JOHN'S AMBULANCE. A number of ladies and geDtlemen met last evening, as a result of Mr A. P. Home's initiative, to consider the question cf foiming a branch of St, John Ambulance Association in Buckland. Mr H. W. Kcesing, of the Ooehunga branch, atterded and explained the or jecti of ■ the gathering. It whs decided to form a tVanch. Mesais J. M. Melville, Inni3 WilcoK, Walter Jefferia, and Misses Neat, Condon and Jeiferis were elected a committee, with Mr Sam Harper as secretary. This committee are to go round with the intention «jf inducing 40 members to ;'oio. Afterwards a repcrt will be "made to the Auckland centre. The membership fee was fixed at 10s, and twenty-four joined. It is expected that the forty members will bs secured without much difficulty. MUSICAL SOCIETY. A movement is afoot to form a Musical Society for Buckland. .It is thought that there is quite sufficient talent in ths district and the promoters are confident that a strong and useful combination will result.
