TUAKAU.

DANCING. The fortnightly assembly was held in the Literary Hall on Monday, 12th Inst. The committee had the floor at its best, and that, combined with good music ably supplied by Misses Maya4l and Geraghty and Mr L. Stevenson, was thoroughly enjoyed by all preasnt. LITEKARY AND SOCIAL CLUB. A meeting of the above was held at the residence of Mr Deeble on Wednesday, 14th inst., the president, Mr H. B. Free, occupying the chair. There was a good aiter.dance and after the usual busi ,e=s being concluded, music and recitations were the order of the evening, items being rendered by Mrs Harrison and Mrs Leaman, Misa Deeble, Messrs Raffles, Free, Collins, Young, Fearn and Geraghty. Supper was then handed round by Mrs Daeble, the meeting terminating at 11 o'clock.
