The Association Game<
Tha Pukekoha Association football 3 team journeyed o:i Saturday to Davonport, where they played the North Shore Club. A fast gama re-sult-id, and aftar about twenty i minutes plav No'tli Shore opened the tcoring with a shot at close range that did not give the goalkeeper a chance. 0:i resumption, Pukekohe strongly attacked and a foul in the penalty area gave the visiters ail opening, Miller making do mistake with a iow ft aid drive. Half-time % arrived with tl.e scora at ona all.
O.i resuming, Pukekohe again swarm:d round tha Shore goal, and several hjt shots were rained in, but the goalkeeper proved equal to emergencies and kept his charge safe. Give and take play followed and Shoie, breaking away on the wing, scored with a good shot. Another s.on followed; but from this time on Pukako'ia more thsn held their own, and the whistle sounded with the score: North Shore 3, Pukekoha 1. Seeing that the North Shore Club runs six teams anj that the Pukekohe eleven mat the pick of these, they are to ba congratulated on having made such a good fight. Individually the team played excellently, and with a little practice they will make a team that will be very hard to best. Skivingtoo, at centre-half, shone out conspicuously, and worked h3rd both in defence and attack.
Henderson are to be the opponents for Saturday next.
