" In "Nil 1 sarched in v in for matter of interest or instru:tio n , and came to the conclusion he was trying tj lie iU. ny. It was a fool of a letter altoiMtber, ard his hints an I innuendoes *ere eimply the reflex of an evil mind. "Goat ead" writes ir more sincerity, although he shows a lamenable lack of knowledge concerning the co miry to be served by the pioposed railway. He is doubtless rj«ht in assuming that Waiuku by itself would supnort the maintenance of a railway but overlooks th fact that a little rao'e is needed to make up for non-pavmg 1 nes elsewhere. He is als i probably light <n asserting that there is no bett r land in the Domini n the Aka Aka plains, but iverlooks the faci that the Aka Aka people have a level road right into Wai uku, so that they wiuld he Well strved with a station tnere. "Go-ahead" ia over thirty years behind the times with his committeis to furthrr his echeme, and >vhen eigm g his letter surely forgot to ad th j word "shwh." —I am, etc., ONE OF I HE LEAGUE.
