. A DESERVING CASE. A meeting was held at the school on February 27th to discuss means by which assistance could be given to Claude Bilderbeck, who lost his arm at the sawmill at Mercer (in February 11th. There was a fair number present. Mr W. C. Pickett was elected to the chair and asked for suggestions iis to the best means of assisting the lad. .MrS. Hunter spoke in favour of the object. He tliought they should endeavour to have the lad taught some occupation with which he could earn his own living. Mr Valentine endorsed the remarks the previous speaker. -jk After others had spoken, it was ffljjcided on the motion of Mr King, That a comnii'tee be formed to obtain all information on the subject of suitable occupation and artificial limbs. The committee consists of Messrs Pickett, Valentine, Kdward-, J. Barron, King and Morgon. Mr W. C. Pickett was appointed and treasurer.
