LOCAL AUCTION SALES. Messrs Bro*mie and Mine held their firtt sale of tiaiiy and farm produce, pigs, poultry and sundries on Tuesday, and report a very sp.tisfacto y sab. About 140 head of poultry were penned, which were cleared at good prices. There was ; good demand for fruit, which sold well, and very keen bidding for all classes ot vegetables, which realised a highly satisfactory figure. Messrs J. 8. de Montalk ar.d Co., of the Centra! Auction Mart, held their first sale on Tuesday last, in the Masonic Hall The firm report having had a most iucces-ful ?a!e, which was continued for two hours without a break. Though only in temporary premises the new firm express themselves well plei sc-d with their first sale, which they attribute to the gemrous patronage of the local public.
