-f ■ LAND TRANSACTIONS. Messrs Griffiths Bros have disposed of their propei ty at the Elbow to Mr Logan, of Logan Bros., shipbuilders, of Auckland. The price, I understand, is £3O per acre. This constitutes a record fcr this particular locality, though much higher prices are ruling in other parts. The purchaser, 1 believe, is going to build on the property. A SOCIAL. A very successful social in aid of the Public Hall was held on Friday evening, 17th inat. A number of visitors wore present from the neighbouring districts and the floor being in unusually good trim a most enjoyable evening was spent dancing. The music Whs supplied by Mr J. Legget and several of the ladies.
