HAYMAKING. Haymaking is in fnl! swing now, and some rerord crops are being stacked. Signs of prosperity are everywhere manifest. IHE HOLIDAYS. Christmas Day dawned with perfect weather, and the Karaka beaches as usual were well patronised, some going there by launch and some by toad, andprme fine cstches of fish are reposed. New Year's Day, the children's picnic dav, will see many bappy faces trooping merrily to Auckland's paddock, where races and ganr.es wi'l ce contested and played and a happy day spent. HEALTH REGAINED.
We are pkasei to see our old triend Mr H. Harditg about again, and congratulate him on his speedy recoverv ftom his recent serious illness.
