SCHOOL PICNIC.
A most enjoyable school picnic was he'd in the schoolgrounds on Frt day, 20th inst. About 120 cbildrjfL an'l 200 adults attended. Games of* all sorts were indulged in, young and eld taking part. The prizes wers vrry good, and each child received something. Mr Edwards, schoolmaster, and Mis; Clark, assistant, deserve the thanks of the whole district for the manner in which they carried oat theit duties A social in the schoolmom in the evening proved verytol-_ tractive and successful, and ** was kept up until thJBPrTTaII hours of the morning. \ BUSY jjUGB\4 Saturday evening was'verj\busy in the township, and—oar' Queen Street" was crowded. The stores did a roaring business.
