J SPREAD JOF TALL FESCUE. j Complaints are heard on all sides 1 this year eboui the spread of tall J fescue on the roads. It is getting to i be a serious question on the swamp 1 land. Thesetd falls into the drains ; J and is then, through tne ri»e and fall 1 of the tide backing the water op, 1 scattered far and wide. It is gener- j ally agreed that the action of the ] Road Boards in prohibiting free J grazing on the swamp roads if ■ 1 largely responsible for the fescue j spreading so much. The Waipipt 1 Board has removed the restriction J and it is hoped the Waiuku Board will l fall into line, as it is the only hope 1 of checking this grass, which many j consider to be worse than the black- j berry. j
