ILLNESS. 1 am sorty to report that the illness ot Mr H. Jolly, senr., has taken a more serious turn. As previously reported Mr Jolly was taken to Auckland to undergo an operation for appendicitis, but since then pneumonia has developed. Mr Jolly's condition is causing his relatives and friends much anxiety. FISHING EXCURSION. Mr R. Hlgginsi.n had another excursion down the rivet, kawai and mullet fishing. I hear they had very good sport catching kawai with the pawa shell. DRAIN WORK. Messrs Powell and Furness have restarted their contract at the Arrowville drain, and are making very good progress with it.
