BUCKLAND.
On Saturday the Bombay lawn tennis players visited here ar.d succeeded in defeating our team by 106 to 67 games. Some excellent temis was S2en and several matches were very exciting. The players and visitors to the courts were entertained at afternoon tea by the local ladies. The scores are, Bombay players being mentioned first:— Ladies' Doubles: Misses Masefield and Wilks v. Misses Ltightin and Davy, 9—4; Misses Masefield and Harris v. Misses Neal aid Condon, 9 Harris and Miss Clements v. Misses JerTeris and Allan, 10—8. "Men's Doubles: Prcude and Cornthwaite v. Eyre and Bilkey, 9—5; Sawyer and Evans v. Leiehttn and Davy, 7—9; Harris and Balme v. Schorield and A. Smith, 9—5. Combined Doubles: Prouric and Miss Maseheld v. Eyre and Miss Davy, 9—4; Cornthwaite ard Miss Wilks v. Bilkey and Miss Leighton, 6—9; Sawyer and Miss Masefield v. Davy and Miss Neal, 9 4; Evans and Mips Harris v. Leigbton and Miss Cordon, 9—4; Harris and Miss Clements v. G. Smith and Miss Jefferis, 11—9; Balme ar.d Mrs Harris v. A. Smith and Mi.-.- Allan, 9-4. Total, 106 to 67.
