MAUKU.
FARMERS' UNION. Thu monthly meetiug of the Mauku branch, was held on November 20, tlio president, Mr W. Finlay, presiding. AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE. Considerable discussion took place regarding the proposal to establish a college in the Auckland province. It was pointed nut that there were large areas of education reserves in this district that would make an admirable site. It was proposed by Mr Finlay, and seconded by Mr Pilgrim, That tlio attention of the Executive bo called to the tact that there is over 1000 acres of government land between Mauku and Waiuku which is worthy of consideration. This being state-owned property no great outlay would be necessary to secure it. Mr M.
