TRAVELLING STOCK.
| TO TIIE EDITOR.] Sir, —As the crocks in our several road districts on the line of route for travelling stuck going to and from our various sales have now for the most part been bridged, would it not be a gracious act 011 the pirt of our road authorities to have at least one side of the bridge, or culvert, so arranged that not only cattle, but horses being either ridden or driven might be refreshed while travelling along our somewhat dusty summer roads? The cost would not bo heavy and common humanity to our dumb animals demands that provision should be made for their welfare and comfort when possible. Some of our Road Boards, 1 am pleaded to say, have made such arrangements, and others who have not I trust will fall into line and follow their good example.—Yours etc., T. G. Usher. Pukekohe, December 2.
