It is with regr't I have to report that Mr J. A. King, who for four years was stationmaster here, has left Poketo The loss to this station means a salary promotion to a popular cfficer, so that we can congratulate him. Mr King has gone to Pukekohe ts senior clerk. Ibis district wishes hirp every success and further advancement in 'hid new appointment. Mr .Cummings, a very old and respected settler of this district, passed away on Wednesday. The Onewhero Football Club's dance, tD have been held to-night, has been postponed on account of death.
