HERD-TESTING DEMONSTRATION. Practical dairv farmers are all commencing to fcjalne the value of individual cow■«sling ns a means of getting together « really profitable hf id A uf testing was given b; at the local factor lfternoon last. Unfortunately, thr attendance was cot as gord as e\|n eted. Mr Oldbam gave a *even dny test for one of the local suppliers, which resulted as follows:—First day, 3.3; second day, 34; third day, 3.5; fourth day, 32; fitth day, 3.1; sixth day, J. 3; seventh day, 3.4. A-Thia shows a difference of four points in the seven days, which woud have hardly been credited, had it not been seen. Mary suppliers are continually growling about the variations in their differ, nt tesis, and very often it seems justified; but the above will prove that the cows are to blame, rot the Asscciaiion. Mr Oldham gave much useful information as regards testing in all its phases, ai d at the conclusion received a hearty vote of thanks, regret teing expressed that there was ret a larger attendance. SATISFACTORY MILK SUPPLY. The supply of milk to the factory is very satisfactory, 100 gallons of cream per day being sent away to the central station. ♦
