MAUKU
Athletic Club The aimual meeting of the above club was hold in the Mauku Mutol on Saturday evening. The President (Mr J. Gnldswortiiy) occupied the chair aud tlio meeting was well attended.
The secretary (Mr W. Fiulav) presented a highly satisfactory balance sheet which showed a credit balance of £32 -Is 7d standing to the club's account, which was unanimously adopted.
It was decided to hold the Aiitiu il Sports meeting on New Year's Day as usual aud a varied aud attractive programme was drawn up including the usual events with the addition of sheaf-pitching, distance stepping, and numerous children's competitions.
Trophies were kindly ofl'eicd as prizes, and accepted with thanks, from Messrs T. R Bailey, C. Iv. Sheppard, W. MeMuitrie, \\ r . (I. Pleydell, li- Miller (Pi'kekolie), F. Perkins (Pukekulu;) and i\. Todd (Otahuhu). On the i veiling of the sports it was decidi d to hold a conceit and dance aud to engage some of Auckland's best talent for the occasion.

Finlay, would not again stand for re-elec-tion. This was greatly regretted as uuder his charge the spoits have been a great success and a very substantial balance accumulated. It was finally derided that the election of secretary remain in abeyance until another meeting is hi Id i.nd in the inleiim the late secretary agreed to cany on tho business.
