Happy Hour. lhe monthly meeting uf the Children's Happy Hour was held on Mt,nday evening, 21st inst., ard was very largely attended. Mr Welsh pusiied. A splendid p;o----grairme was provided by the Women's Christian Temperai ce Union. Piannfirte solos were played by Misses Rita Harris, M. Whit?, N. Swain, Gussie and Vera West. Duets were sung by Misses L. Hickey and M. Mearns, recitations by Misses M. Barr, Dorathy Bright ani Grade Pat e.'-ion, tfio and duet by Missfs Garland, sonas &nd choruses by the girls' choir, dialogue by Mis9es Copeland, Barr and V. West. Mr A. Fitchttt, of bouth Africa, gave an entertaining adjress to the children. These entertainments are growing in popalarity with young and old.

Bad Roads. The road 3 between Waiuku and Pukekohe are in a bad state and sadly need attention by tha County Council. Our post office bridge is wearing very thin, and will sojn be quite melesj for traffic. It ia quite time the new one was starte H .
