Benefit Concert.

On Thursday evening last the Buckland Hall was taxed to its utmost capacity whan a benefit entertainment, organised by the brethren of the Loyal Pukekohe Lodge(M.U.I.O.O.F.) Buckland division, to augment funds which are being raised to assist a member of the lodge rendered incapable of work as the result of an accident, was held. Mr A. E. Wilkinson occupied the chair, and the programme, every item of which was roundly applauded, was as follows : Overture, Miss Penman; Song, "A Meny Monk," Mr T. Walker; Song, "Lochnagar," Mrs Solo, Mr A. Smith; Soug, "Thora," Mr W. Jones; Soug "For all Eternity," Miss Bagnall; Quartette, "In de old Log Cabin," Pukekohe Quartette Party, (Messrs J. Blake, W Jones, A. Young and J. Roulston); Sony, " When the Sunset turns the Ocean Blue to Gold," Mr V. Svendsou ; Song. " LUy of Laguna," Mr A. Young; Song, "Life'sLullaby,"Missßagnali; Descriptive song, "The Bugler," Mr A. Smith mul compauy; Song, "My Ain Folk," Mrs McAna"y; Song, "The Village Blacksmith," Mr T. Walker; Quartette, "True, True ti'l Death," l'ukekohe Quartette Party. The accompanists were Mesdamos Allan and Davy and Misses Penman and Bagnall. A largo number participated in tho fiance which followed the concert, aud a most enjoyable evening eventuated. The joint secretaries (Messrs H. Todd and Harper) have a total of about £lO in hand from tho entertainment, this amount being uett, charges for the hall having boiiig remitted by the trustees, whMe the music for the dance was also furnished gratuitously !■>' Mrs W.
