Rod and Gun Club. A ten-bird match for the club medal was fired off. Six entered. It was won by W. Woodward with eight birds. Six coflk ipheasants were received from the Acclimatisation Society and were liberated on 1 the Otaua. A certain area around Otaua will be gazetted as closed against all shooting so that these birds may be protected.
