It was decided to go into training at once for the events'to take place early in the season. It is pleasing to note that the GluVb finances are in a very flourishing state and great enthusiasm ! is being mown by all the members, and it is anticipated that the member* ship will be about double what it was last season. Considering the splendid course at the disposal of the Club it will not be suprising if this Club attains to the premier, position amongst all the oountry clubs and maybe town ones. A marriage of considerable interest to the natives of this district took place on the 30th ult., when Mr Mura Kurukuru was married to one of the Taupiri chiefs' daughter's. A large spread of comestibles was laid out for the visitors who attended the function.
