WAIAU PA.

On Friday, 13th inst, the footballers' dance passed oil very successfully The evening was splendid for tho occasion and this no doubt accounted for the good attendance, as tho settlers are lather scattered in this part of the district. The young men are to be congratulated upon tho way they carried out their duties. Mr C. McLarin acted as M.C. ; the floor was in excellent order for dancing. Music was supplied by Messrs McLariu Bros and Geo Talke. Mr John Roper amused tho audience at intervals with his humorous songs and readings. Mr J. Henry, of Patuniahoc, supplied the supper. Dancing was kept up till 2.30, when all left satisfied that the dance was the best held in Waiau for some time past.
