The Cemetery Again.

To the Editor. Sir,— Being a recent visitor to your rising township one could not but be impressed with the evidences of its rapid growth and prosperity, and such pleasant surroundings and healthy, bracing climate, but I was greatly surprised at the state of your public cemetery. Although you have some most beautiful specimens of the monumental mason's handicraft, the ground is in a most woefully neglected state. There are no paths, and the ground generally is overgrown with weeds and the far-spreading blackberry shoots, which constantly get entangled with one's clothes, and threaten to trip you up while threading your way through. A sad state for " God's acre," with such beautiful surroundings.—l am, etc., A Visitor. Auckland August 19.
