BOMBAY.
This season Bombay Las run a tie with Pukekohe in the produe(ifijLof early potatoes, Mr C. A. Stevens fliving sent away seven cases iu the middle of August. Now that the capabilities of Bombay land have beou proved, this beautiful and fertile locality will doubtless assume a place right in the front rank as an earlypotato district. Land continues to rise in value. A 33-acre lot, part of Mackay's old farm on the Oreat South Road, recently changed hands at £4O per acre. The property was well improved. The Government has bought a quarter-acre on the corner of Bombay and Great South Boads for a post office site. The price paid was £125. A commodious boarding-house is in course of erection here. This is just the thing that has been needed. Bombay township is moviug and the business now done in the district fully warrants the enterprise for up-to-date accommodation.
