The Board is to meet the engineers with regard to the River Board scheme, to take levels, etc., on Tuesday next. It was arranged that an inspection of tho Aka Aka district be made to see whether an improvement can be made in the whole system of drainage. A ratepayer wrote to ask whether his embankment had been cut through by the Board's orders. It was decided to reply in the negative. A request was received from another ratepayer asking the Board to open up the higher portion of the old Aka Aka creek to afford the higher lands better drainage than at present.
