Mr Lauder, captain of theba id, very ably carried out the duties of hairman and during the evening pre entod to Mr Cromwell, late member jf the band, with a handsome marb a clock from his comrades and frienc s. Mr Cromwell suitably rosponde( and wished the band every success in the future. Soveral toasts were duly honoured and songs and recitations rere rendered by visitors and member i. The happy evening was brought to a close at half-past eleven with he singing of Auld Lang Syne.
